We were so fortunate to find Amie to be our daughter’s piano teacher! I would wait during the lessons so I had ample opportunity to observe her methods and interaction with my daughter. Amie is kind, non-judgmental, patient and always encourages her student to try and figure something out first, instead of just handing her the solution. She would make suggestions and let her student have the freedom to interpret the music in a way that suited the student. That said, music is a discipline, so there was plenty to teach. My daughter learned everything she knows about classical music from Amie.
Amie helped instill a lifelong love of music in my daughter. That really says it all.

It is with great confidence that we recommend Amie Belisle, and her piano studio, Keys to Expression.
Our two sons were students of Amie’s for over 15 years. Our son received his OMTA level 10 certificate under her guidance and instruction. He now plays as an assistant choir director for our church and continues to play for enjoyment and entertainment.
Amie is consistent, focused and fair in her coaching and holds students accountable for their homework and assignments. She was also flexible and accommodating when necessary, when it came to our sons’ sports schedules. She relates well with students of all ages and connects with each one of them. She offers students many opportunities to perform at various venues. Students excel as she allows them to learn and play music of their choice as well as music from other time periods, offering a well-rounded experience.
We highly recommend Amie Belisle and Keys to Expression piano studios.

Amie has given piano lessons to my two children over the past eight years. Amie has made them successful musicians, pushed for constant growth and expertise, and created a caring atmosphere where the vibe is always positive. Amie’s daylight basement studio is the perfect setting for students to have their lessons. It is roomy and spacious. She can accommodate groups of students to perform and work with each other as well as individual lesson space.
Amie’s positive, encouraging, caring interactions always made my children feel comfortable as they grew as musicians. Amie possesses a great teaching ability with young children who are beginners and it extends all the way to highly accomplished adult students. Her skill, both as a teacher and performer is amazing. She has a knack for putting students in the right book series to meet their need while also choosing musical pieces that are high interest, challenging and fun to show off to the public. Amie is an accomplished teacher.

Amie is an excellent teacher. When I began as an adult piano student, Amie worked carefully with me to learn the basics. At each stage of my learning, she has supported me through challenges and helped me to improve my skills. She always has a positive attitude and a smile, and she always thanks me for sharing my music with her. What a wonderful way to learn to play!

Amie Belisle taught my daughter Jaiden piano since she was seven years old until she graduated from high school. She grew so much as a musician but her appreciation for music could only have been nurtured by a mentor like she had. Amie is a wonderful and patient teacher who can communicate the joy of music through her teachings.
